Nissan Safety Campaign 2015 Concludes

Edaran Tan Chong Motor Sdn Bhd (ETCM) recently concluded its Nissan Safety Campaign 2015 with the Nissan Safety Driving Experience, held at the Malaysia Agro Exposition Park Serdang (MAEPS).

60 Nissan owners participated in the Safety Driving Experience, and at the same time drove their own vehicles which included the Nissan Teana, X-Trail, Sylphy, Almera, Serena S-Hybrid, X-Gear, Grand Livina and Latio.

The Nissan Safety Driving Experience aimed to educate owners on proper and safe driving techniques, giving them the skills and tools they need to drive safely on today’s roads, and to learn about the Nissan safety features in their vehicles. The modules consisted of a theory session which covered proper steering and seating positions; and practical courses which included a slalom course to understand the correct steering techniques, braking and lane changing exercise to maximize effectiveness of Anti- Locking Braking System (ABS), as well as skid control exercise to demonstrate vehicle control in slippery conditions while working together with vehicle’s traction control. The participants were also timed during each exercise for the instructors to better assess the level of their driving skills.

The one-day Nissan Safety Driving Experience was the final programme under ETCM’s Nissan Safety Campaign 2015. Launched earlier this year in April at Legoland in Johor Bahru, the Nissan Safety Campaign 2015 also included a children’s campaign called the Kids Safety Carnival, which was held throughout the year in selected locations across the country.
