0The most common car accessory today, alloy wheels
This has to be the best upgrade for most compact and basic family cars as they offer better handling and enhanced visual appearance immediately. Upgrading your wheel diameter size means having to lower the thickness of your tire and having a wider tire footprint on the road.
There is however safety limitations to be considered as too wide a footprint could lead to lesser road handling in the wet and also with increased rolling resistance your fuel consumption will suffer. Best is to size up your wheel by 1inch and your tire width by 1 level also. This will also help in maintaining your new car warranty. Many car companies will default your warranty if the wheel and tire size up is beyond recommended size as there is increased stress on the drive components.
