This VW Golf MK1 Has a Ridiculous Amount of Power
There are sleepers, and then there’s this. The MK1 Golf has always been adored for pretty much defining the hot hatch segment before Honda could sweep in and perfect it. But even though there were versions with excessive amounts of power, nothing comes close to this amazing little machine. Tuned by Boba Motoring (which we assume is a German tuning company judging from their website and obsession with all things Volkswagen), this monstrous 1st generation Golf puts out about the same amount of power as a Bugatti Veyron Super Sport while weighing just over 1000kg.
Needless to say its 0-100km/h and 100-200km/h acceleration times put most supercars to shame. Watch for yourself:
