Ford to feature prominently in the X-Files series reboot

Producing a TV series is not cheap, but one of the ways that costs are offset is through sponsorship and product placement deals. In many cases, a car company or a phone company will fund a good portion of the show in exchange for a few seconds of screen time- and Ford has quite commonly featured in numerous shows. The latest show they will be making an appearance in is the long-awaited X-Files reboot.

This time around they will be varying their products a little through the season- starting with the Ford Explorer (an American large SUV). Along with the appearance of Explorer, an Escape, Mustang and black Taurus will be featured throughout the season as well, continuing Ford Motor Company’s long history with “The X-Files.” Ford vehicles were featured when the show debuted in 1993, with Agent Fox Mulder (David Duchovny) notably referring to his Ford Taurus as “a good American car.”
