In-Queue-For-Malaysian-Launch Honda BR-V Awarded 5-Star Rating By ASEAN NCAP
Tests conducted by the ASEAN NCAP (New Car Assessment Program) at the Japan Automobile Research Institute (JARI) in Japan has found that the Honda BR-V is deserving to be given a full 5-star rating.
In frontal offset impact and side impact test, the BR-V achieved a 5-star rating with scores of 14.79 out of 16.00 in Adult Occupant Protection (AOP) and 72% in Child Occupant Protection (COP). BR-V’s variants without Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA) and Seatbelt Reminder for both front occupants were rated 4 stars.
BR-V, a new-generation crossover utility vehicle, is exclusively developed for Asian market. Since its World Premiere in Indonesia in August 2015, the model has been receiving overwhelming interests from Indonesian customers. The BR-V was recently launched in Thailand in January 2016 and has been receiving positive feedback from Thai customers as well.
Along with the standard body structure such as Advanced Compatibility Engineering (ACE) and G-Force Control (G-CON) technology, the BR-V offers a wide range of active and passive safety features and technologies, including Dual Front SRS Airbags, Anti-lock Brake System (ABS), Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA), Hill Start Assist (HSA) and Rear Parking Camera. The customers can therefore be assured on the road with high safety standards that set a new benchmark for regional models.
As we have reported recently, the Honda BR-V is scheduled to be introduced into the Malaysian market soon.
