BMW 5-Series For 2017. Is This it?
BMW is teasing the all new 5-Series with these images. Due to be unveiled later this year, the new G30 5 Series will bring numerous innovations to the premium executive sedan segment. Question? Can this new 5-Series tackle and put down the all new Mercedes E-Class?
Under the hood, expect the new 5-Series to carry BMW’s newest generation of turbocharged 4-cylinder (B48) and 6-cylinder (B58) engines. New model designations, likely 530i and 540i will call out the updated powertrains. The diesel inline-6 currently used in the 535d probably will carry over, and a plug-in-hybrid version will continue to be sold. Inside the cabin get ready for a new iDrive program with gesture-based technological innovation, as well as a self-park function.
