Honda BR-V Previewed at Malaysia Autoshow 2016

The all-new Honda BR-V prototype made a surprise preview today at the Malaysia Autoshow 2016. The full seven-seater crossover was unveiled by YB Dato’ Sri Mustapa Mohamed, Minister of International Trade and Industry together with Managing Director and CEO of Honda Malaysia, Katsuto Hayashi.

The prototype in Taffeta White will be on display at the autoshow which takes place at the Mines International Exhibition and Convention Centre (MIECC) for the next three days.

The BR-V is powered by a 1.5-litre i-VTEC engine that produces 120PS. It features Honda’s signature Solid Wing Face design with daytime running lights, roof rails as well as 16-inch dual-tone alloy wheels. Practical features such as the reverse camera and sensors are also made available in the crossover.

Seats in the BR-V are designed for multi-configuration, enabling the space to be easily manipulated for the users’ convenience. The vehicle boasts 223 litres of boot space with all seats up and the number increases to 539 litres when the third row seats are folded. The second row seats can be adjusted in one touch in a 60:40 configuration while the third row seats comes in a 50:50 split configuration and full tumble. Additionally, leather seats and rear air-conditioning increase cabin comfort.

Malaysians can view the BR-V prototype at Honda’s booth, themed “Tomorrow’s Dream, Today’s Reality” at the Malaysia Autoshow 2016 happening right now until 13 November 2016. Visitors will also be treated with a showcase of Honda’s advancements in technology, safety and robotics.

There is an Advanced Technology Corner specially set up to educate visitors on Honda’s Hybrid system, safety technologies and turbo engine. Its latest prototype with Hybrid technology (i-DCD Sport Hybrid) will also be on display throughout the autoshow.

Visitors will have the opportunity to ride and experience Honda’s personal mobility device UNI-CUB β. The Accord, Civic and City will be on display and visitors who place bookings will get to enjoy bonuses of up to RM8,000.
