BHPetrol Officially Launches 2 FREE Charging Stations in PJ and Sg. Besi

BHPetrol continues to play their role in developing a sustainable community with their latest initiative to install charging stations for Electric Vehicles and Plug-in Hybrids. Owners of these cars can now visit BHPetrol Kampung Sungai Kayu Ara in Petaling Jaya and BHPetrol Sungai Besi Harmony (after the toll plaza towards Seremban) to charge their cars when they are on the move.

The charging stations are equipped with model Type 2, 3-phase, 22kW Fast Chargers and car owners who wish to charge their electric/plug-in hybrid cars only have to bring their own charging cable. The dedicated charging bay and service is currently free!

During the launch held earlier today at BHPetrol Kampung Sungai Kayu Ara, BHPetrol’s Managing Director, Mr. Tan Kim Thiam, expressed his support on this new offer and his wish that it will increase the appeal of BHPetrol’s brand in providing convenience to the customers. “We will be providing more BHPetrol service stations with the same service in the future to cater to the demand,” said Tan.

For this project, BHPetrol is collaborating with First Energy Networks Sdn Bhd (“FEN”), a fully-owned subsidiary of the Tan Chong Group, to provide an EV Charging infrastructure and system to power “zero emissions” mobility.

Five EV cars, namely the  Nissan LEAF, Renault Zoe, Renault Twizy, Volvo XC90 and BMW i8 were also exhibited during the launch.

Even invitees and customers were also treated to confectionary products like Cadbury 5 Star, Vochelle chocolates and Dequadin pastilles in conjunction with BHPetrol’s 11th anniversary, which just so happens to be on the 14 of February too.
