Hyundai Sonata Named Best Car for the Money by U.S. News & World Report

The 2017 Hyundai Sonata has been awarded the U.S. News & World Report accolade for “Best Midsize Car for the Money,” making this the second time in three years a Hyundai Motor vehicle has won the award. The Sonata’s nomination was shared by 18 other foreign and domestic midsize sedans in one of the industry’s most competitive fields.

The publication recognised the Sonata for its impressive quality and versatility, highlighting its spacious interior and noted that “usable technology litters the Sonata’s lengthy list of standard and optional features. Other features highlighted included a larger trunk than most competitors and “one of the lowest starting prices in the class.”

“The recognition by U.S. News & World Report highlights out commitment to providing better for our customers,” said Brandon Ramirez, senior group manager, Product Planning, Hyundai Motor America. “From technology to driver experience to overall performance, we are proud to have the Sonata represent the standard of value in this class.”

U.S. News creates its rankings by combining quality and value data into a composite score to provide an unbiased comparison of each vehicle to its competitors. The consensus rankings of each car are regularly updated and serve as an aggregate of the fair and diverse opinions of hundreds of professional auto critics. U.S. News awarded its Best Cars for the Money honours by combining its newly released 2017 car rankings with the total cost of ownership data provided by TrueCar.com.
