When can we buy a Lynk & Co vehicle?

Lynk & Co is a automotive brand owned by the China based Zhejiang Geely Holding Group which is also the owner of Volvo Cars. Founded in 2016, its cars will be positioned between those of the Geely brand and Swedish brand Volvo, which was purchased by Geely in 2010.

Lynk & Co will be going to sell direct to consumers, cutting out the substantial cost of middlemen dealerships and both delivering and picking up cars for servicing right at the customer’s door. Geely claims that as much as 25% of a car’s cost can be sunk into dealerships, so while it will have flagship stores around the world, its primary distribution method for Lynk & Co cars will be direct to buyers. The company hopes to get the first Lynk & Co vehicles out to China in late 2017, to be followed by the US and Europe thereafter. A right hand drive vehicle is yet to be discussed by the product planners.
