2Is car body wrap the new fad?
We are starting to see a lot of cars getting body wraps on them and it all started just a few years ago. Today you can find many professional and home based car wrap businesses and the price difference can vary between RM2,500.00 (home based business) for a full body wrap to as high as RM4,500.00 (professional work) for a mid-sized car like a Porsche Cayman pictured here.
Yes, this Porsche Cayman has been wrapped with a look that shows extreme weathering and rusting (which is hard to believe).
A wrap is a large vinyl graphic or decal. It is applied directly over the original paint of the vehicle. The application of the wrap allows you to change the vehicles appearance in a very short period of time and in turn allows you to remove the wrap, returning the vehicle back to its original condition if necessary.
Wrapping actually started with public buses and commercial vehicle fleet wraps. This was done for the benefit of the advertising industry and today you can see Grab Taxis and city busses being the biggest user of advertising wraps.
Now you just have to decide on whether to wrap your car or to paint it…..which tickles your fancy more.
