Special classic car exhibition at the 67th IAA Cars

The Wild Seventies. At the 67th IAA Cars, the German Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA), the Automobilclub von Deutschland (AvD) and the German Federation for Motor Trades and Repairs (ZDK) are presenting a special classic car exhibition entitled “The Wild Seventies.” It will cover approx. 1,000 square meters in Hall 6.0, and here visitors can get close to vehicles expressing the unique zeitgeist of the 1970s. There will be around 20 exhibits embodying automotive dreams that were realized by tuning firms or by private individuals.

As in 2015, the VDA, the AvD and the ZDK again have a joint IAA stand demonstrating their commitment to classic cars. The people tasked with selecting the vehicles for exhibition were particularly enthusiastic about the rare exhibits with spoilers, which were so popular with many auto fans around 40 years ago. A separate section on the stand will contain four vehicles that highlight work of the 40-year-old firm bb Rainer Buchmann, which gave special finishes to German premium vehicles and drew international admiration for its own innovations. The display will also include vehicles from the companies AMG, Kamei, Koenig Specials and SGS Styling Garage. For motorcycle fans, there will be an Eckert Honda and the BMW Futuro from bb. The selection will also include vehicles that have been given an especially stylish new look by private owners.

The stand is designed to be a major attraction for fans of classic cars and offers sufficient seating for visitors to stay a while and admire the exhibits. A varied program of accompanying events will provide additional entertainment.
