Jaguar F-Pace 2.0-litre Ingenium Now Open for Booking in Malaysia

Jaguar Land Rover will be introducing an additional powertrain option for the F-Pace SUV after its debut launch of the 3.0-litre supercharged powertrain variant late last year. Set for launch in Q1 of 2018, the new 2.0-litre variant promises better comfort and convenience for both the driver and passengers.

The new 2.0-litre four-cylinder Ingenium powertrain with a twin-scroll single turbo produces 250 PS and 365 Nm of torque from only 1,200 rpm. It achieves CO2 emissions as low as 170 g/km in AWD form.

The engine is made of aluminium and replaces the GTDI RWD powertrain which is used in the Chinese market. Apart from being 4.1 kg lighter, the new engine is also 15% more fuel efficient over the GTDI unit.

The engine is mated to a lighter, more compact 8HP45 eight-speed gearbox from ZF. The unit is equipped with a state-of-the-art pendulum damper in the torque converter to absorb low frequency vibrations, enabling the engine to run at lower speeds without compromising refinement.

The F-Pace is also the latest model to benefit from Jaguar’s Lightweight Aluminium Architecture that has 80% more aluminium than any competitor and also include features such as composite tailgate, magnesium cross-car beam and front-end carrier.

The new variant is now open for booking at all Jaguar Land Rover showrooms nationwide and the pricing will be announced during the official launch. Customers can now register their interest and receive updates at www.jaguar.com.my/keep-me-informed.
