Looks Like HERE Is Mapping KL for Mercedes, BMW and Audi

About 2 years ago, Nokia’s maps and navigation division, called ‘Here’, was sold to Daimler, BMW and Audi. The three big premium German carmakers felt they needed to cut off reliance on 3rd party navigation systems, so jointly buying here must have looked like a good cost-cutting idea.

Just last week, we spotted a Subaru XV with mapping equipment in PJ. At first it was parked, but later, we saw it moving on the Federal Highway.

Could be a sign that next generation Bimmers, Benzes and Audis will have very advanced, very detailed maps and street view data of Kuala Lumpur and the rest of Malaysia.
