G-SHOCK MR-G……from Casio

Casio’s pursuit of the tough watch’s final form has led to a shock-resistant structure with a full-metal case. This is the G-SHOCK MR-G, which derives its name from “M” for “Majesty” and “R” for “Reality”. Today, with a traditional Japanese artisan’s technique integrated into its construction, MR-G has achieved the ultimate in both strength and beauty. The Japanese sword, a symbol of the samurai spirit, is highly prized as a work of art.

A metal hammering technique used to embellish the sword’s hilt guard, a part that fulfils both practical and decorative purposes, is adopted for MR-G.

The metal parts are treated with a hardened film coating, moreover, that reproduces a colour tone special to traditional metalworking.

Thus, traditional techniques and advanced technology have united to resurrect a confident dignity born of two sources of Japanese pride.

This dignity is realised in a shock-resistant full-metal G-SHOCK with Bluetooth®, GPS and radio-controlled, solar-powered timekeeping installed.
