Grantt Launches New Stellar 8000 0W-20 Fully Synthetic Engine Oil
UMW Grantt International today launched the latest addition to its product lineup, the new Stellar 8000 SAE 0W-20 fully synthetic engine oil with API SN Plus rating.
It is said to be the first engine oil in Malaysia to be formulated with Knock Guard Technology, which offers protection against Low Speed Pre-Ignition (LSPI).
LSPI is when combustion occurs before the normal spark-initiated combustion takes place and can cause severe damage to an engine.
According to the company, the Stellar 8000 engine oil delivers more than 80% better engine protection against wear and tear. With its unique antioxidant additives to control oil thickening, the formula results in better flow to critical parts throughout the oil drain interval.
This offers protection during cold engine start at low temperatures while retaining viscosity benefits at higher temperatures and operating conditions. Its advanced dispersant and detergent system helps prevent sludge formation and varnish deposits for a cleaner and more efficient engine.
The retail price for the new Stellar 8000 engine oil is RM199 (4 litres). In conjunction with the launch, Grantt also introduced other new automotive solutions such as the Quasar SAE 10W-40 diesel engine oil, as well as CVT and WS (World Standard) automatic transmission fluids.
