Shell Malaysia Makes it Easier to Verify Authentic Motor Oils with QR Code
Shell Malaysia have created a new QR-Code system to help deter counterfeit oils for passing as the genuine thing.
At an event earlier, they announced new “Made for Malaysia” branding on their five most popular, locally blended Shell Helix oils.
These include:
- Shell Helix Ultra 5W-40 fully synthetic (4L)
- Shell Helix HX7 10W-40 semi synthetic (4L)
- Shell Helix HX7 5W-30 semi synthetic (4L)
- Shell Helix HX5 10W-30 semi synthetic (3L)
- Shell Helix HX5 15W-40 semi synthetic (4L)
These engine oils are now packaged with QR codes printed behind the front label. Simply peel the label back from the top right corner and you’ll find the code there. These can be scanned and registered on their Shell Advantage Rewards (SHARE) app.
