Toyota Recall Does NOT Affect Malaysian Sold Cars

UMW Toyota has just confirmed with www.dsf.my that the planned recall of 1.03 million units of the Prius hybrid and C-HR crossover due to an issue with the engine wire harness, which can pose a fire risk does NOT include any Malaysian sold vehicles as the specific models are not sold in Malaysia. Toyota in Malaysia does not sell the hybrid C-HR and for the Prius hybrid, the model sold in Malaysia is the previous generation which is not affected. Malaysian owners need not worry.

However, if you have bought a used reconditioned C-HR from a used car dealer then you need to go back to that dealer to seek a solution……and this is why we always suggest you buy authorized vehicles and not reconditioned imported vehicles from used car dealers.
