Toyota was the Biggest Carmaker in 2018 by a Huge Margin
Every auto conglomerate wants to be known as the biggest in the industry, but few can really mirror the success of that one, gleaming star-of-a-brand Toyota.
According to statistics gathered by JATO, last year Toyota sold more than 8 million vehicles!
The exact figure quoted was 8,091,277 and it excludes light commercial vehicles. Perhaps if the Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi Alliance or VW Group had their numbers lumped together, they would have sold more cars.
But brand for brand, Toyota are still miles ahead of their competition. At least a million units ahead according to these stats.
