Malaysian Supplier’s Eligible to Join Groupe PSA’s Global Supplier Network

As you may have heard, Groupe PSA are making their big push into the South East Asian region. They’re doing this with Naza Automotive Manufacturing (NAM). In February 2018, the French auto conglomerate purchased a 56% stake in NAM. Almost exactly a year later, they held their first Supplier Day event at the plant in Gurun, Kedah.

The Supplier Day was seen as a success, with about 140 participants in attendance. Senior members of Groupe PSA made major claims at the event, including the promise of Malaysian suppliers becoming part of their global supplier network.

If all goes to plan, NAM’s first production models will be ready in the next 2 months. This will begin with the Peugeot 3008 and then to other models that are built on the EMP2 and CMP platforms.
