0Please stop speeding on inner state roads
Earlier today at about 9 am, 4 people lost their lives in a fatal accident in Kuala Terengganu along a state road heading to Setiu. The mishap happened at the cross junction turning into Felda Belara. A white Peugeot 207 went head on with a green Proton Wira Aeroback and from the mangled metal you can see that both drivers were driving at speed.
Speeding like this is a common sight on state roads as there are hardly ever any police speed traps and there are no speed cameras. With open roads, drivers will take up more speed and a fatal mishap like this could happen. (also inner state roads are hardly ever maintained and the surfaces could be slippery with holes)
Due to the many inner state roads in our country, it takes a lot of resources to govern and police them and so public awareness of the dangers of speeding along quiet roads need to be shared and absorbed to avoid fatal accidents like this.
Please share this with your friends and family and also take a personal note the need to drive extra safe on isolated state roads and even if you think there is hardly any traffic, the other driver is thinking the same as you.
YOU also need to take stock of your speed on quiet roads and remember, its not only your life at risk.
Our condolences to those who lost their lives.
