You Can Now Buy Motorbikes and Book Cars on Shopee
With Tesla and Lynk & CO banking on a dealership-free future, online shopping platforms like Shopee have stepped in to be an intermediary. They’re not exactly removing dealers from the equation. Rather, they’re serving as a digital bridge between dealers and customers.
Right now, you can head to the Shopee AutoMall page and either book a car or BUY a motorcycle right off the app or website. Currently, the brands served are BMW, Ford, Honda, Hyundai, Mazda, Mitsubishi, Toyota and other motorcycles from ‘YesRide’.
Booking fees range from RM1 to the hundreds and there are promotional interest rates starting from as low as 1.81% per annum. Here’s how you can book a car on Shopee:
- Make a booking on Shopee by choosing your vehicle of choice and adding it to your cart
- Complete your transaction
- Click on push notification from Shopee
- Fill in the booking form online and appointment details
- A dealer representative will contact you within three business days to confirm the appointment
- Complete purchase and paperwork at the dealership
To PURCHASE a bike on the platform, here are the steps:
- Select and purchase on Shopee
- Select 0% installment plan (optional)
- Seller contacts buyer for JPJ registration within 3 business days
- The seller delivers the motorcycle to the buyer

Two weeks into the launch of Shopee AutoMall, the e-commerce platform is seeing a steady growth of orders for both cars and motorcycles. To-date, it has recorded close to 100 orders, with many Shopee buyers who are now happy owners of brand new rides including a Honda CR-V, amongst others.
Apart from cars, several motorcycles have also been purchased through Shopee AutoMall, with positive reviews especially on the speedy delivery of the bikes. This is testament to Shopee’s mandate in providing exceptional service to its users.
