Wearnes start selling Koenigsegg, No more Naza?

The tide has changed and a new player enters the segment carrying with them Aston Martin and Bentley luxury vehicles in their sales portfolio.

Wearnes Automotive, a leading distributor and retailer of premium cars like Aston Martin and Bentley in Southeast Asia, has announced that the company will be the exclusive partner of Koenigsegg hypercars for the region.

These brands will be part of the PrestigeDivision which recently added Alpine and Lotus to its stable of brandsincluding Bentley and Aston Martin. The company will be able to sell Koenigseggacross Asia which means Naza Swedish Motor is no longer the sales arm forKoenigsegg in the country.

In September 2013, Naza Group signed a sales agreement with Koenigsegg under a new company, Naza Swedish Motor and we are lucky enough to be part of this historic moment. The selling price then was from RM15 Million before you start ticking the option boxes on your order form. To own a Koenigsegg at the time and even now you would have to be a serious car enthusiast and it would come from someone already having a Ferrari, Porsche or Lamborghini in their garage. We believe only 2 units arrived and were sold in Malaysia until now.

“There is an increase in demand and agrowing appetite among Asian customers for hypercars. Our customers form anexclusive group of automobile collectors in search of the very best,” says MrAndre Roy, Chief Executive Officer. “These three new brands will add to theportfolio in our Prestige Division. Coupled with our expertise and experiencein the ultra- luxury segment, we are confident of further strengthening ourposition in this segment.”

To help high-end car collectors enhance, preserve and protect their investments, Wearnes Automotive has also embarked onbuilding a state-of-the-art, climate-controlled bonded car storage facility inSingapore. This will allow luxury car collectors to store their rare, limited-edition and classic cars in an exclusive and secure environment.
