MINI Clubman Facelift Launched in Malaysia
The facelifted MINI Clubman has been officially launched in Malaysia. The six-door hatchback is offered here in a single variant, which is the Cooper S.
The retail price (on the road for personal registration, without insurance) for the Clubman is RM298,888 including the MINI 4 Years Unlimited Mileage Warranty with Free Scheduled Service.
The Clubman features hallmark brand elements, such as the domed bonnet, the circular headlamps – outlined in Piano Black – and the hexagonal contour of the newly designed radiator grille which now extends across the entire bumper.
The laterally opening wings in the rear makes it the only model in the compact segment to feature six doors, along with a fully extendable luggage compartment that expands from 360 litres to 1,250 litres.
Exterior colour offerings of the Clubman include the Indian Summer Red, New British Racing Green, Pepper White, Thunder Grey, Melting Silver and Starlight Blue.
Inside, there is a MINI Yours Walknappa Leather steering wheel, complemented by the MINI Yours Walknappa Leather Lounge Carbon Black seat upholstery. Further enhancing the ambience is the MINI Yours Interior Styles illuminated in Frozen Blue.
The latest introduction to the Clubman includes a high resolution 6.5-inch MINI Navigation System with a touch screen display with the MINI Connected built-in 4G SIM technology. The system is paired with a 12-speaker Harman Kardon sound system.
As for power, the Cooper S variant gets a 2.0 litre MINI TwinPower Turbo engine that produces 192 hp and 280Nm of torque, enabling a century sprint in just 7.2 seconds and a top speed of 228 km/h thanks to the new seven-speed dual clutch sports automatic transmission.
Additionally, the electronic control system of the transmission offers increase in efficiency via multiple progressive functions, such as the Start/Stop function and coasting function that is available in both MID and GREEN modes.
The Clubman is covered by MINI Malaysia’s 5 Years Roadside Assistance programme that includes a 24-Hour, 365-days-a-year Accident and Help on the Phone and On the Spot Hotline, Free Towing Services and when needed (over 200KM from residential home), Replacement Vehicle, Seamless Mobility, Accommodation, Mobility Services Solutions as well as Repatriation services.
With the Balloon Financing from BMW Group Financial Services Malaysia, the Clubman can be yours from RM3,418 per month (based on estimates of 80% loan on a five-year tenure).
