2022 Lexus UX Gets More Colourful In US Market

American customers really love the Lexus UX and so they’re getting more colour options.

Malaysia has yet to fully embrace the new Lexus UX, but in the US and Europe, this compact luxury crossover is really popular. As a result, the 2022 model is getting even more colour choices and customisations in the US market.

Exterior colour choices now include Grecian Water, Sonic Chrome, Cadmium Orange and Cloudburst Gray. It’s worth noting that Cloudburst Gray is also a new option on the latest Lexus RX L Black Line update in the United States. Grecian Water is a shade of blue that was previously exclusive to the limited-run UX Black Line model.

In addition to the new colours, there’s also an option for customers to colour-key the overfenders of the Lexus UX to the body colour.

As standard, the Lexus UX gets contrasting black overfender panels for that rugged crossover look.

Opting for the Grecian Water exterior gives you more options once you step inside. This particular exterior colour can be matched to either a Black, Birch or Birch with Lapis interior.

Going for NuLuxe upholstery brings four new colour choices including Black, Glazed Caramel, Birch and Birch with Lapis. For the UX F Sport trim, exclusive Circuit Red seat upholstery is offered as well.

That’s about all that’s new on the 2022 Lexus UX in the United States. The press release does make mention of a ‘newly developed’ electric tilt and telescopic steering column on the UX Luxury. However, it’s unclear if this is really a new addition, as the UX 200 Luxury already has an electric tilt and telescoping steering column in Malaysia.

About the Lexus UX

The new Lexus UX offers the brand’s innovative luxury and safety in a package that combines bold new design elements and ultra-efficient new powertrains. For many customers, the UX will not only be their first Lexus, but also their first luxury vehicle.

The UX name is derived from the design team’s guiding concept and describes the vehicle’s mission: Urban + X-over (crossover) = UX.

Infused with dynamic attitude, the Lexus UX is engineered to deliver quick and engaging driving with a Lexus-smooth demeanour, making it a unique entry in the luxury compact crossover segment.

The UX is the first Lexus constructed using the new Global Architecture – Compact (GA-C) platform. A lightweight yet super-rigid structure, extremely low centre of gravity and refined suspension tuning endow the Lexus UX with exemplary handling agility and ride comfort, along with a distinctive driving personality.
