Modenas Introduces Extended Warranty Programme For Selected Models
Most Modenas bikes now come with an additional 2 year/65,000km warranty coverage.
Modenas has introduced an extended warranty programme for some of their models. This extended warranty adds 2 years and 65,000km for models sold and registered from 1 September 2022 onward. This optional 3rd party warranty is offered through Allianz General Insurance Company (Malaysia) Berhad who will also provide the towing services. It covers sudden and unexpected motorcycle failure of selector factory-fitted mechanical and electrical components.
Allianz General CEO Sean Wang said, “As insurers, our focus is firmly on being there for customers and providing them with a positive experience during their time of need, and even more so now when Malaysian households are financially vulnerable due to rising costs. We are delighted to partner with MODENAS to offer this EW programme that offers riders fast, easy, and seamless experience with maintenance and repairs. Moreover, the programme also serves as an endorsement of Allianz General’s track record as a trusted insurer that delivers the best for its customers.”
Six bike models will receive this extended warranty coverage: Kriss 110, Karisma 125S, Elegan 250, Pulsar RS200, Pulsar NS200, and Dominar D400.
Features of the extended warranty programme include:
- 24/hours, 365 days of Roadside Breakdown Assistance (“RBA”).
- The RBA extends its towing services to the nearest MODENAS authorised service centre within 100km radius.
- Fully Transferable on resale of Bike.
- Offer Better Resale value of Bike.
- Use of Genuine MODENAS Spares: 30,000+ parts that come with a 2-year unlimited mileage warranty

Motosikal dan Enjin Nasional Sdn Bhd (“MODENAS”) a subsidiary of DRB-HICOM Berhad, introduces a new extended warranty programme (“EW”), that encompasses the coverage of its selected models up to an additional of 2 years or 65,000KM (whichever comes first) for models sold and registered from 1 September 2022 onwards. Below is the list of Modenas motorcycles that are covered under the EW programme:
- Kriss 110
- Karisma 125S
- Elegan 250
- Pulsar RS200
- Pulsar NS200
- Dominar D400
The EW programme is an optional third-party functional warranty, that is being offered by MODENAS’ insurance partners, Allianz General Insurance Company (Malaysia) Berhad (“Allianz General”) which serves as the EW programme provider and Allianz Partners Malaysia (“APM”), who will provide towing services. The EW programme covers sudden and unexpected motorcycle failure of selected factory-fitted mechanical and electrical components.

Some of the salient features offered under the MODENAS EW Programme includes:
