Back in 2017, Motosikal dan Enjin Nasional Sdn Bhd (MODENAS) introduced the first ever Modenas Pulsar NS200 for the Malaysian market.

Now, the company has launched a new variant of the bike called the Pulsar NS200 ABS. As the name suggests, the new offering comes with Anti-lock Braking System (ABS).

ABS prevents the brakes from locking when it is applied suddenly in an emergency situation. This ensures the rider has control of the machine, at the same time maintaining stability and reducing its stopping distance.

Apart from the additional safety feature, the NS200 ABS retains the 200cc, single-cylinder DTS-i engine that makes 18 kW (24 hp) and 18.6 Nm of torque.

Roslan Roskan, Chief Executive Officer of MODENAS said, “At MODENAS, we always look into making our motorcycles better and are equipped with the latest technology the market has to offer. Bikes with ABS are safer and we highly encourage those looking to purchase a bike to buy one equipped with ABS.”

With a recommended retail price of RM9,655, the Pulsar NS200 ABS is the most affordable naked street-bike in the lineup to be equipped with such feature. It can be had in four colours, namely Graphite Black, Mirage White, Wild Red and Yellow.
