Aprilia Tuono 660 Factory Now In Malaysia From RM73,900
The Aprilia Tuono 660 Factory flagship sports bike arrives in Malaysian showrooms.
Didi Resources, the official distributor of Aprilia bikes in Malaysia has just announced the arrival of the Factory versions of the Tuono 660.
Here are some of the improvements brought by the Aprilia Tuono 660 Factory over the standard Aprilia Tuono 660:
A simple but important change that was made was the adoption of a light lithium battery that dropped the weight by roughly 2 kg, bringing the kerb weight now to 181kg.
The Aprilia Tuono 660 Factory features a more sophisticated suspension setup than the standard model. This includes a fully-adjustable Kayaba fork with 41mm stanchions, and an adjustable Sachs shock with a separate reservoir.
The forward-facing 660cc parallel twin engine with DOHC and 4 valves per cylinder now outputs 100hp, up by 5hp. The torque output remains unchanged at 67Nm of torque at 8500rpm. They’ve also fitted a shorter final drive with a 16-tooth pinion gear (vs 17 on the standard model). In tandem with the increase in horsepower and lower weight, this helps improve the bike’s acceleration.
The Aprilia Tuono 660 Factory comes with APRC electronic controls with a Ride-by-Wire electronic accelerator and six-axis inertial platform as standard. The APRC includes:
- Aprilia Traction Control
- Aprilia Wheelie Control
- Aprilia Cruise Control
- Aprilia Quick Shift
- Aprilia Engine Brake
- Aprilia Engine Map
Also new: multi-map Cornering ABS which optimise braking and ABS intervention with a new algorithm. The use of the inertial platform has also allowed Aprilia to fit this bike with ‘bending lights’ for better visibility while riding at night. In terms of brakes, there are dual 320mm discs in front and a single 220mm disc in the rear – all with Brembo calipers.
The Aprilia Tuono 660 Factory gets sporty ‘Factory Dark’ graphics, a single-seat tail fairing and is painted in black and red. A passenger seat and footpegs are supplied.
