GO TO-U EV DC Chargers At RekaScape Not Working
Just 24 hours after its launch with attending media, the electric vehicle DC chargers are now off-line as shared on social media by electric car owners who took the trouble to drive all the way to Cyberjaya to get ‘free power’.
The ‘people’ at Smart Mobility ecosystem in Cyberjaya and Roda Emas Industries Sdn. Bhd have not made any statement on this issue and seem to be void of any responsibility in providing their promised service.
Meanwhile, both companies on a day ago signed a memorandum of understanding to develop charging infrastructure and ‘GO TO-U EV Lifestyle Hubs’.
If this is the way they will be running their business, it looks like electric car owners better check before making the drive to their stations, or best to avoid until further notice.
Interestingly, both companies have not provided any information on when the electric vehicle DC chargers will come back online. So, looks like a very negative start to this EV charging business.
Further checks reveal that the GO TO-U app is not listed on Google Maps at the time of writing this.
GO TO-U EV Lifestyle Hubs press release shared with us says that they are essentially DC fast charging stations that can be accessed and paid for using the GO TO-U app.
GO TO-U was founded in 2017 with the goal of making charging electric vehicles simpler, more comfortable and more accessible. Today they operate in 47 countries. Their first GO TO-U EV Lifestyle Hub is located close to Cyberview’s Technology Park in Cyberjaya.
