All-New Perodua Axia Launched With 5700 Units/Month Sales Target

The all-new Perodua Axia has been launched with a sales target of 5700 units per month.

Perodua has launched the all-new Axia, codenamed the D74A, today. It has been 2 weeks since order books were opened for the A-segment hatchback. So far, Perodua has been able to collect 20,100 orders for the new Axia, including converting 13,600 existing bookings for the previous Axia to the new model. Perodua anticipates the new Axia will be the best selling model for 2023 with 82,000 units projected to be produced this year and a sales target of 5,700 units a month.

At launch, there are four variants of the new Perodua Axia, all powered by the familiar 1.0L 3-cylinder naturally-aspirated 1KR-VE VVT-i engine from the last model, but paired to a new Dual-Mode CVT. Fuel-efficiency is estimated at 25.3km/l to 27.4km/l with the ECO Idle system turned on.

This is the same transmission we find in the new Alza, facelifted Myvi and new Ativa. The model variants at launch are the Axia G, Axia X, Axia SE and Axia AV.
