Mazda MX5 Roadster Wins Another Award Again

Congrats to the MX5 roadster as they have just won, again, the Vincentric Sports Car segment for the 8th consecutive year!
The 2023 MX-5 is also recognized as the Lowest Cost to Own winner in its class and this continued win is a testament to the value proposition of this Mazda MX5 roadster.
Meanwhile, you might not have heard of Vincentric and so let us explain who they are. Vincentric is a data compilation and analysis company launched in 2004 and based in Michigan, North America.
The company uses a proprietary cost-of-ownership database to measure and analyze the cost of keeping and maintaining cars after purchase. Vincentric then uses the information to determine how said ownership costs impact the value of the vehicles for buyers.
This helps provide insight into the automotive industry for players like Lexus, Honda, Toyota, Ford, General Motor, BMW and all big car manufacturers doing business in North America.
Worth noting is that the data and insight from Vincentric can also prove valuable to car buyers, which is where the annual Best Value Awards come in.
So, every year, Vincentric releases its ‘Best Value Awards’, which is a list of cars the company believes will provide the best value for their market segments and categories.
As mentioned above, Vincentric compiles and analyzes data, even considering multiple aspects of car ownership before releasing the list.
The team at Vincentric have to figure a fair way to measure value. It does this by combining cost factors such as vehicle depreciation, financing, maintenance, insurance, opportunity cost, wear and tear repairs, fuel usage and lastly, local fees and taxes for approximately 2,000 vehicles.
Interestingly, every year, Consumer Reports, (CR) an American magazine releases a detailed report on all new vehicles sold in the country. This report reveals the best and worst vehicles sold in the country and it provides a honest judgment for car buyers to decide which vehicle is best for them when it comes to reliability.
For the last one year of tests comes a surprising new winner, Mazda taking a score of 80 out of 100 points takes the No.1 Position. The Mazda MX-5 roadster emerged as most reliable car among those tested, getting a score of 98 out of 100. Meanwhile, the CX-30, CX-3, and CX-5 SUV’s all scored 85 or better.
