Mahindra Unveils New Tech packed Pickup Truck With Stunning Design

Will we get this stylish Mahindra pickup truck in Malaysia when it launches?

Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd has just previewed its newest global pickup truck concept at its Futurescape event in Cape Town, South Africa in conjunction with India’s 77th Independence day and this pickup truck is a looker. It features a modern and stylish exterior with a comfortable and tech-packed interior. Let’s get to know it better.

While it remains unlikely that this Mahindra global pickup truck will come to Malaysia, it is to be introduced in several markets in India, and the brand built this pickup truck with the aim of achieving five-star safety in both the GNCAP and the LATIN NCAP safety ratings.

Moreover, the inside of the Mahindra pickup truck is not only jam packed with safety features and comfort, but also a slew of convenience features such as a premium audio system, 5G connectivity, a sunroof as well as a semi-autonomous parking feature as well.

The Mahindra pickup truck is also predicted to come with a 2.2-litre mHawk turbocharged diesel engine which makes 172 hp and a maximum of 400Nm of torque. This engine will be paired to a six-speed manual or six-speed automatic gearbox. It will also feature a 4X4 system.

On top of that, the Mahindra Global pickup truck also gets rugged styling befitting a car of its stature. Up front, it also has a new grille, LED headlamps vertically-stacked LED fog lamps, a big steel skid plate and a snorkel for water-wading Additionally, it also gets a roof rack for storage and a LED light bar for better visibility.

The side profile of the new Mahindra pickup truck is completed by beefy dual-spoke massive alloy wheels and the pickup truck’s ground clearance is high enough to handle any terrain. This likely means that it will be a proper off-road pickup truck rather than a lifestyle pickup truck.

In the rear, the Mahindra pickup truck gets rectangular LED tail lights, and two spare wheels for safety. The brand also states that this pickup truck has potential in ASEAN, Australia, India, South Africa, and South and Central America. Once launched in the Indian market, it will go against the likes of the Toyota Hilux and Isuzu V-Cross.

So will Malaysia, which is part of ASEAN, also be receiving this pickup truck here? Well, we shall have to wait and see since Mahindra does not even currently have any sales presence here at the moment.

We got all this from The Times Of India and their full article is linked here. Thank you The Times Of India for the information.
