Jaguar Says Goodbye To Its ICE-Powered Sportscars With A Limited Edition F-Type V8

The Jaguar F-Type ZP Edition marks the end of an era for the British brand.

Jaguar earned its reputation by building an engine so far ahead of its time that they were able to keep selling variations of it from the 1940s to the 1990s. That engine was put into loads of different vehicle types including the Jaguar’s first sportscar, which was named after the very motor that powered it. The XK motor ended up in almost all the legendary Jaguars, including the E-type.

Now we’re at the end of the era of the internal combustion engine according to most of the industry. So, Jaguar has decided to send off its ICE-powered sportscar line with a couple of V8-powered F-Types inspired by historical E-Type race cars.

They’re calling these last 150 petrol-powered sportscars the “Jaguar F-Type ZP Edition”. They’ve all got 5.0L supercharged V8 engines with 575hp and 700Nm of torque on tap. This isn’t any more than was previously available on the top-spec F-Type models, but where the real difference comes is in the visual customisations from SV Bespoke.

There are two F-Type ZP Edition colourways available based on the first race-winning “Project ZP” E-Type vehicles. The first colourway features Oulton Blue gloss paint with Mars Red and Ebony duotone leather upholstery inside. The second is finished in Crystal Grey gloss paint with Navy Blue ad Ebody duotone leather upholstery.

On both models, you get hand-painted Porcelain White gloss racing roundels on the doors as well as Porcelain White gloss grille surrounds. You also get Gloss Black Diamond Turned 20″ forged alloy wheels, exterior accents and brake calipers as well as “F-Type ZP Edition” branding details on the fenders.

These two exterior paint options have never been offered on the F-Type before and they’ve been specially formulated to match the seven pairs of E-Type Project ZP Collection cars created by Jaguar Classic.

The cabin features unique horizontal seat fluting, Gloss Black tread plates and dashboard with a “One of 150” SV Bespoke commissioning plaque.
