1 Millionth Lynk & Co Vehicle Has Been Fully Assembled On 13 November 2023

This marks another milestone for Geely and its subsidiary Lynk & Co in China

The one millionth fully assembled Lynk & Co (a subsidiary of Geely, our first national carmaker’s partner) vehicle was officially unveiled at Geely’s Yuyao production facility in China’s Zhejiang Province on 13 November 2023. This marks yet another milestone for the Chinese brand as it keeps pushing out more vehicles for more customers.

Geely Automobile Holding Group, the parent company of Lynk & Co, has dedicated the last six years to creating the new energy and intelligent connected vehicle industry cluster, complete with advanced technology, cutting-edge brands, industrial agglomeration and the entire chain and all its products reflect this, even its Proton partnership models.

Moreover, Geely has also become the world’s fastest new energy high-end vehicle brand to break through the scale of one million vehicles which shows that the notion of “Chinese cars or China made cars are low quality” and that most newer Chinese vehicles are indeed not low quality and even very desirable in many markets.

Lynk & Co was initially a European arm for the Geely brand but it has definitely expanded and has even found so much success even propelling the Geely brand up with its latest achievement. This is also technically a milestone for Volvo, which is owned by Geely. Volvo is also currently making big strides in the electric vehicle (EV) world so this is useful to the brand.

On top of that, this is a major technological milestone as it also highlights the technological prowess of Geely as well as Lynk & Co in not just producing aad efficiently managing their production plants, but also getting them set up and operational so quickly. This is especially admirable considering the EV price war going on in China as well.

With so much wild success on the international stage, will Lynk & Co also expand to the SouthEast Asia market? While this is already unlikely, it is even more unlikely for Malaysia as Geely has already established itself here through Proton so it will most likely set up shop here as Geely, if they decide to at all.
