The Bell & Ross BR 03-92 DIVER TARA Watch: A Tribute to Ocean Exploration

The Bell & Ross BR 03-92 was made in partnership with the Tara Ocean Foundation.

In the world of watchmaking, precision, functionality, and reliability are of paramount importance. Bell & Ross, renowned for crafting timepieces that cater to professionals in extreme conditions, has taken its commitment to the next level through its partnership with the Tara Ocean Foundation. This collaboration has given birth to the extraordinary BR 03-92 DIVER TARA watch, a symbol of the dedication to ocean exploration. Let’s delve deeper into the remarkable journey of this timepiece and the mission it serves.

The Tara Ocean Foundation: The Tara Ocean Foundation is France’s first public interest foundation dedicated to the ocean. For two decades, it has been on a mission to explore and understand the ocean while sharing valuable scientific knowledge with the public. The foundation partners with leading research centers to study marine biodiversity and monitor the impacts of climate change and pollution. The urgency to protect our oceans has led the foundation to raise awareness, educate future generations, facilitate international cooperation, and participate in crucial decisions at the United Nations. The ocean’s well-being is intertwined with the health of our planet and the future of humanity.

A Timepiece that Unites Teams: Bell & Ross, known for creating watches designed for action, has forged a unique bond with the Tara Ocean Foundation. The BR 03-92 DIVER TARA watch has been embraced by the crew aboard the Tara schooner due to its legibility and efficiency. These scientists and sailors are constantly exposed to perilous conditions, and their tasks demand precision and reliability. Bell & Ross, a supplier for explorers and elite units, understands this need and designed the BR 03 DIVER to meet their precise requirements. Carlos-A Rosillo, President and Co-Founder of Bell & Ross, emphasized the importance of this partnership. Furthermore, part of the profits from each watch sold is donated to the Tara Ocean Foundation, reinforcing their commitment.

A Professional Diver’s Watch: The BR 03-92 DIVER TARA watch is a perfect reflection of the missions carried out by the Tara Ocean Foundation. It shares the foundation’s requirement for precision and functionality. This limited edition of 999 pieces is waterproof to a depth of 300 meters, making it a reliable companion for divers. With a 42mm matte blue ceramic case and a unidirectional rotating ceramic bezel in blue and orange, it meets the standards of professional divers. The BR-CAL 302 self-winding mechanical movement powers the watch, displaying hours, minutes, seconds, and date. The deep blue metal dial ensures perfect readability in all conditions, thanks to Super-LumiNova® coating for luminescence in the dark. The orange-tinted seconds hand adds a distinctive touch, and the comfortable strap features a steel pin buckle with blue PVD coating and a blue woven rubber lining with ultra-resistant technical material.

Rigorous Excellence at Sea and in the Air: Bell & Ross, with a history closely associated with the aeronautical world, has also created instruments for professionals in various fields, including divers. In 1997, the Hydromax was certified to an astounding 11,100 meters, pushing the boundaries of depth exploration. The BR 02, introduced in 2007, was a professional diving watch water-resistant to 1,000 meters. In 2017, the BR 03-92 DIVER joined the family, designed for professionals who demand optimal reliability. Now, the partnership with the Tara Ocean Foundation extends Bell & Ross’s commitment to professionals in the maritime world. This partnership complements their existing associations with La Patrouille in the sky and Alpine on land, encompassing all three Bell & Ross universes: air, land, and sea. In each of these worlds, Bell & Ross equips professionals who demand excellence and precision.
