Gentari Go is yet another app you can download to get the full Malaysian EV owner’s experience.
Gentari, Jom Charge and chargEV may all have cross-compatibility between each other’s chargers and Gentari is already available on the Setel app… so why do we need another separate Gentari Go app?
Well that’s because Gentari Go offers some other features. One of these is the ability to transition consumers to full clean energy. While you still can’t buy an EV on this app, you can do things like rent an EV and apply for solar panel installation. They’re partnered up with GoCar for EV rentals… and yes, GoCar has an app too.
“Our aim is to become the platform of choice for every consumer starting their clean energy journey. We’re pioneering the seamless integration of clean energy, extending beyond EV charging to home energy solutions,” said Shah Yang Razalli, CEO of Gentari Green Mobility.
What’s more, the Gentari Go app is available not just in Malaysia but in India and other parts of Southeast Asia as well, which is part of Gentari’s expansion plan for 2024.
Chargers From Singapore To Thailand
Besides that, Gentari Go empowers cross-border charging via the first EV charging corridor from Singapore to Thailand in partnership with Charging Point Operators such as CDG Engie, City Energy Go, and EVolt. This puts over 2,000 EV chargers from across the three neighbouring nations on one app.
Be A Charging Point Operator
Malaysia is still lagging behind in terms of charging infrastructure and it’s still early days with plenty of space for new players. So, if you want to become a Charging Point Operator, you can do so via Gentari Go as well. All the necessary solutions are built into the app. Automotive and corporate OEMs with micro services can also use the Gentari Go platform to offer customised services and features such as auto-charge and other in-car solutions.
