BMW iX2 xDrive30 Open For Booking In Malaysia For RM297K With Warranty
The BMW iX2 xDrive30 is now open for “pre-booking” in Malaysia. How will this compact EV fare?
BMW Malaysia has commenced pre-booking for the iX2 xDrive30. The BMW iX2 xDrive30 is an all-wheel drive electric “SAV” with a total system output of 313 hp and 494 Nm of torque from two electric motors. 0-100km/h takes just 5.6 seconds and it has an electronically limited top speed of 180 km/h. Its 66.5 kWh battery is rated for 449 km of range on the WLTP cycle. AC charging is limited to 11 kW, requiring 6.5 hours to fully recharge the battery from 0% and DC Fast Charging is rated at 130 kW, which gets the battery from 10% to 80% in under half an hour.
Based on the 2nd generation BMW X2, the iX2 comes with upgraded stabilizer bearings on the front spring-strut axle and multi-link rear axle for better steering precision and roll stability. It also has standard actuator-like anti-roll bars, Adaptive M Suspension, M Sport Steering, M Sport Brakes and Sport My Mode.
One of the unique selling points of the BMW iX2 is its incorporation of Android Open Source into the control system. The iX2 gets a 10.7″ BMW Curved Display running BMW Operating System 9. The user interface is all-new with a flat menu with quick access to frequently used functions and configurable live widgets. There’s also a 10.25″ digital instrument cluster and a full-colour heads-up display. Other features include a ventilated wireless charging tray, a powered tailgate, a Harman Kardon sound system, M multifunction leather steering wheel. The interior is finished with aluminium hexacube pale M interior trim pieces, and fine grain Veganza faux leather with contrast stitching.
The BMW iX2 xDrive30 is specified with the BMW Kidney Iconic Glow feature. You also get adaptive LED headlights with selective beam, a front apron with a black radiator grille in black high gloss, M high-gloss Shadow line and V-spoke style 873 M Bicolour 20″ M light alloy wheels.
Priced at RM282,800, the BMW iX2 xDrive30 can also be optioned with an additional 5-year BMW Service & Repair Inclusive package for RM14,200.
