This Zeekr X is a Geely product that shares its DNA with Volvo and smart
Zeekr is a brand owned by Geely which means the Zeekr X crossover shares its battery technology, platform and more with the smart#3 and also the popular and very quick Volvo EX30 crossover.
Meanwhile, the Zeekr X crossover is in Malaysian showrooms in two variants which is the Premium rear wheel drive variant at RM155,800 and the Flagship AWD twin motor variant which is priced at RM172,800. The smart#3 is priced from RM175,000 for the PRO to RM215,000 for the PREMIUM which means it is about RM20k more.
The Zeekr X Premium is powered by a single rear-mounted 200 kW motor, which is supposedly good enough to see this e-crossover manage the century sprint in 5.6 seconds. The hotter Flagship AWD on the other hand nets another drive unit on its front axle, for a combined 315 kW and a 0-100 km/h time of 3.8 seconds.
Feeding the motor(s) on both variants will be a 66 kWh NMC battery pack that should allow for a maximum WLTP-claimed range of 440 km for the single-motor Premium trim, with it in turn to be capable of 150kW DC charging for a 10% to 80% top-up in 30 minutes.
And if all these specs might just sound a tad familiar to you here, it is probably worth highlighting at this point that the Zeekr X is built upon the same Geely Sustainable Experience Architecture (SEA) that currently not just underpins the pair of smart EVs that are available over here, but also the recently locally-launched Volvo EX30 as well.
Regardless of variants though, it has since been confirmed that all Zeekr X’s available locally will include 7 airbags, a 360º surround view camera and a Digital Video Recorder (DVR).
Moreover, a full suite of Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) will also be available with the Zeekr X locally, bringing with it the usual active driver aids like Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Automatic Lane Change (ALC); Lane Centering Control (LCC), Lane Keeping Assist (LKA) (including LDW, LDP, ELKA); Collision Mitigation Support Front (CMSF), Collision Mitigation Support Rear (CMSR), Door Open Warning (DOW), Front Cross Traffic Assist (FCTA), Rear Cross Traffic Assist (RCTA), Parking Emergency Braking (PEB), Blind Spot Detection (BSD), Evasive Manoeuvre Assist (EMA), Automated Parking Assist (APA), and Driver Performance Monitor (DPM).
