The Mercedes-Benz C200 AMG Line has entered the market, offering more value for an entry-level C-Class.
It’s hard to believe the 6th generation Mercedes-Benz C-Class has been around since 2021 and was introduced to Malaysia all the way back in 2022. It feels like the entire market for sports sedans has changed in that time, thanks in no small part to the introduction of tax-free electric imports. To bring some attention back to their best-selling nameplate, Mercedes-Benz Malaysia has given us the new C200 AMG Line, combining high-end features with lower acquisition and running costs.
A Familiar Silhouette, Now Sportier
The locally-assembled C200 now gives you the AMG Line exterior which features a bold front apron with large air inlets, diffuser-look rear apron, and a Mercedes-Benz patterned grille flanked by LED High Performance headlamps. Its stance is further enhanced by 19-inch AMG multi-spoke light-alloy wheels, while upgraded perforated front brake discs provide both style and stronger stopping power.
AMG Line Interior with Premium Touches
Inside, the AMG Line treatment continues with Nappa leather multifunction steering wheel, brushed stainless steel AMG sports pedals, and ARTICO leather upholstery with refined trim finishes. Heated front seats, ambient lighting with logo projection, and a Memory Package for seat adjustments ensure comfort and convenience, while AMG-branded floor mats reinforce the sporty theme.
Advanced Tech and Everyday Practicality
The new C200 AMG Line comes equipped with Mercedes-Benz’s latest MBUX multimedia system, featuring a 12.3-inch digital driver display and a 11.9-inch central display. A 360° Parking Package provides all-round camera visibility with a virtual 3D view, making tight urban manoeuvres effortless. Connectivity is seamless with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, wireless charging, and six USB-C ports.
Safety is well catered for with Blind Spot Assist, Active Brake Assist, PRE-SAFE® system, GUARD 360° vehicle protection, and pedestrian protection. The car also features a digital vehicle key, allowing owners to use their smartphone as a key.
Efficient Performance
Under the bonnet, the C200 AMG Line is powered by a 1.5-litre 4-cylinder engine with mild-hybrid technology, producing 204 hp and 300 Nm of torque, aided by an integrated starter generator that adds 17 kW and 200 Nm when needed. Paired with a 9G-TRONIC transmission, the sedan accelerates from 0–100 km/h in 7.3 seconds, reaching a top speed of 246 km/h.

The Mercedes-Benz C200 AMG Line is priced at RM292,888 (OTR without insurance, with 10% SST). Pre-bookings are now open via the official Mercedes-Benz Malaysia website, with deliveries set to begin in October 2025.
