Suzuki Malaysia Unleashes GSX-8T and GSX-8TT: A Blend of Retro Spirit and Next-Generation Performance

Suzuki Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. has launched two exciting new models: the Suzuki GSX-8T and GSX-8TT.

Unveiled at the prestigious Sepang International Circuit during the 2025 MotoGP Malaysia Grand Prix weekend, the Suzuki GSX-8T and GSX-8TT motorcycles embody the brand’s philosophy of “Retro Spirit, Next Generation Performance,” promising a thrilling combination of classic aesthetics and cutting-edge engineering. The bikes were launched with pricing set at RM59,600 for the GSX-8T and RM63,600 for the GSX-8TT respectively.

Both the GSX-8T and GSX-8TT are powered by Suzuki’s robust 776cc parallel-twin DOHC engine, built on a new-generation platform designed for efficient power delivery, superior controllability, and exceptional everyday usability. This common foundation ensures that riders will experience a harmonious blend of performance and comfort across both models.

The Suzuki GSX-8T takes its design cues from the iconic Suzuki T500, also known as the Titan, a high-performance naked motorcycle from the 1960s. Its striking design features a fuel tank elegantly contrasted against a matte black rear body, complemented by a unique 3D-raised shroud emblem inspired by an “eight ball.”

This design ethos results in a clean, retro appearance with a distinctly modern finish. Equipped with the Suzuki Intelligent Ride System (S.I.R.S.), Ride-by-Wire throttle, Bi-directional Quick Shifter, and Dual ABS, the GSX-8T offers a perfect balance of performance and advanced rider aids.

Building on the GSX-8T’s foundation, the Suzuki GSX-8TT elevates the experience with styling elements reminiscent of Suzuki’s legendary road racers from the 1970s and 1980s, such as the GS750 and GS1000. The “TT” in its name stands for “Timeless,” reflecting Suzuki’s dedication to bringing classic style into a modern context.

The GSX-8TT is engineered for versatility, featuring long-travel suspension, wide handlebars, higher ground clearance, selectable SDMS ride modes, traction control, and a generous 16.5-litre fuel tank, making it an ideal companion for diverse road riding adventures.
