Cycle And Carriage To Start KIA Sales In Malaysia

Cycle And Carriage has decades of car sales and after sales experience in Malaysia. From the humble startup of selling Mercedes-Benz vehicles which started in Ipoh to their vast network in Malaysia before the arrival and setup of Mercedes-Benz Malaysia.

There was a time when Cycle And Carriage also handled sales for Mazda (remember the early Mazda6) and Peugeot (the last model they handled was the 407 Evente some 20 years ago) in Malaysia and after troubled times, both brands were retired.

Today Mazda is a success story with Bermaz and Peugeot is in limbo and uncertainty on its future in Malaysia (also with its sibling Citroen).

Meanwhile, over the long labour day holiday weekend we found out that Cycle And Carriage will be selling KIA in Malaysia very soon. Negotiations are under way for the take-over of the current KIA flagship showroom and after sales in Glenmarie which used to be under the Bermaz Auto (also used to handle Peugeot for a short time).

Meanwhile, this news is not surprising as Cycle & Carriage is already the exclusive authorized dealer for KIA in Singapore, offering sales, test drives, and aftersales services. They provide financing options, online sales, and service plans, with a showroom located at 239 Alexandra Road, Singapore 159930 (this is a multi-brand showroom). Yes, Cycle & Carriage in Singapore handles a variety of automotive brands like Ora, Maxus, Peugeot, Leapmotor and Citroen so this ‘formula’ will probably be replicated here in Malaysia.

We know that Cycle & Carriage partnered with Stellantis Malaysia to sell and service Leapmotor electric vehicles, establishing a significant presence with multiple outlets, including a flagship 3S centre in Glenmarie which opened its doors in early April 2026. The partnership provides comprehensive sales, service, and spare parts support for the C10 and B10 EVs.

Incidentally, after leaving Bermaz, the Peugeot business was handled by Cycle And Carriage for a few short months, mostly to clear all existing standing stock of vehicles. We are still waiting for the official announcement for Peugeot’s re-entry.

Now, with KIA Malaysia in operations, the working relationship with Cycle And Carriage comes as no real surprise and it is all good for the KIA brand and Cycle And Carriage has the experience and know how coming from its KIA sales success in Singapore.
