This is the Chery iCAUR (iCAR in other parts lf the world) V25 and it is a rugged yet tech-savvy, boxy plug-in extended-range hybrid (EREV) compact SUV from Chery’s youth-focused iCAUR sub-brand. Official specifications highlight a 4,636 mm length, 1,920 mm width, 1,855 mm height, and a 2,820 mm wheelbase, alongside advanced tech like a roof-mounted LiDAR.
The vehicle carries forward iCAUR’s signature “future-inspired” design language, featuring a boxy silhouette and equipped with a roof-mounted LiDAR unit.

The iCAUR V25 is a plug-in extended-range hybrid multi-purpose passenger vehicle which offers seating for five occupants. It has a top speed of 180km/h and is powered by the SQRH4J15 petrol powered engine produced by Chery Automobile Co., Ltd.
Features a 33.679 kWh Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) battery pack, providing around 150–200 km of pure EV driving and an extended total range exceeding 1,000km.
The petrol engine does not drive the wheels directly. Instead, it functions solely as an onboard generator to power the electric motors and recharge the battery, effectively eliminating range anxiety while retaining pure electric driving dynamics. Its dedicated 1.5-liter turbocharged hybrid engine achieves an impressive thermal efficiency of 44.5%.
This high thermal efficiency, combined with Chery’s advanced Dedicated Hybrid Transmission (DHT) boasting over 93% efficiency, allows the V25 to deliver exceptionally low fuel consumption while maximizing electric-only range (over 150 km in EV mode).
The energy storage system uses lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries, with individual cells supplied by Hefei Guoxuan High-Tech Power Energy Co., Ltd., and the battery pack assembled by Anhui Ruilu Technology Co., Ltd.
Price estimate for Malaysia for the extended-range variant typically will be from RM130,000 to RM145,000 (roughly USD20,000 to USD31,000), depending on local duties and exact trim level.
