The latest Mercedes-Benz C-Class gets locally-assembled with more kit and a lower price.
As with every Mercedes-Benz 4-door, the latest C-Class has just been locally-assembled for better value. The C-Class joins the A-Class Sedan, E-Class and S-Class along with a handful of other SUVs that are now put together in Pekan, Pahang.
The new CKD C-Class will be available as the C200 Avantgarde and the C300 AMG Line, just as it was when it was fully imported.
These models both still feature a small electric motor that supplements the petrol engine, increasing torque and improving fuel efficiency. The powertrain specifications and pricing are as follows:
Pricing is down by RM12,000 for the C 200 Avantgarde and down by RM17,000 for the C300 AMG Line versus the CBU models. Besides the cost savings, there are also enhancements to the list of equipment available. Pre-Safe and Handsfree access for the power boot have been added to both variants now that they are put together locally.
