Classic and very desirable FIAT 131 Mirafiori gone In more than 60 seconds
You cannot ‘miss’ this car if you see it on the road. Even the base 4-door version is very rare and this 2-door is in high demand with collectors.
We are quite sure this car is not in a sealed container on its way to an overseas buyer or at a private garage of a Italian car collector in the country. Or just may be …… it has been towed away by the City Council for parking outside a workshop without paying the daily parking fee ….. it happens and we have seen many well looked after cars missing from outside workshops and then days later found in a city council car park.
If you do spot it ….. or know what happened ….. please contact the number in the picture below.

This two-door Mirafiori is powered by a 2.0-litre (1995cc) twin-cam engine produced 114 bhp and fitted with a stylish body and alloy wheels. This is not the rare Abarth version.
Essentially, it was the Italian made rival to the Ford Escort Cosworth, but rather better on the road. In comparison, the Fiat’s twin-cam efficiency compensated for the 131 Sport’s extra weight.

The front suspension with MacPherson struts, wishbones and stabiliser bar was new. There was also a brake system with discs at the front and drum brakes at the rear as well as rack-and-pinion steering.

An engine with an overhead camshaft (OHV) and timing belt drive was developed from the engine block of the Fiat 132.
