Factory operator dies after his Proton Satria skids into tree in Kluang Johor
A factory operator died when the car he was driving skidded and hot a tree sideways at kilometer (KM) 76, along the Jalan Johor Bahru-Ayer Hitam state road yesterday (Saturday) morning.
Kluang District Deputy Police Chief, Superintendent Nik Mohd Azmi Husin said his office received a report regarding the incident at 8.20 am.
“Initial investigations found that the victim, identified as Kamaruzaman Kussin, 32, was travelling from Simpang Renggam heading to Ayer Hitam town.
“However, upon reaching the location of the incident, the Proton Satria car driven by the victim was believed to have lost control and skidded into a tree on the left side of the road.

“As a result, the victim suffered serious head and body injuries, and was confirmed dead at the scene,” he said in a statement on Saturday.
For the record, the accident also caused damage to the front and right side of the victim’s vehicle. The victim is from No. 262, Felda Pemanis Satu, 85009 Segamat, Johor.
Meanwhile, Nik Mohd Azmi said the case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
“Further investigations into this case are still ongoing and are being conducted by the Investigating Officer, Insp. K. Pugalenthi,” he said.
