The New BYD SEAL Arrives with Enhanced Design, Performance and Comfort
The much-anticipated New BYD SEAL has officially arrived, bringing with it an exciting blend of cutting-edge performance, advanced technology, and refined comfort. Staying true to its tagline, ‘SEAL THE SPEED’, the electric sedan continues to set benchmarks in its segment while introducing a host of thoughtful updates for Malaysian drivers.
Performance and Range
The new SEAL offers two distinct variants designed to cater to different driving preferences. The Performance Variant accelerates from 0–100 km/h in just 3.8 seconds, making it one of the fastest electric sedans in its class. Meanwhile, the Premium Variant impresses with an extended 650 km NEDC driving range, ensuring worry-free long-distance journeys. The Dynamic variant, which was the most affordable variant before, has been discontinued for now.
Advanced Suspension Systems
For the first time, BYD has equipped the SEAL with advanced suspension technologies usually found in premium luxury vehicles. The Performance Variant features the DiSus-C Intelligent Damping Body Control System, delivering superior agility and confidence on the road. The Premium Variant comes with Frequency Selective Damping (FSD) shock absorbers, balancing ride comfort with precise handling.
Refined Design and New Features
Both variants have received thoughtful upgrades aimed at enhancing everyday usability. Key highlights include:
- An electric sunshade for the panoramic sunroof
- Seamless keyless access via BYD Digital Key NFC and Bluetooth Key
- A convenient sunglass holder
- Newly designed 19-inch alloy rims, with the Performance variant featuring red brake callipers for a sportier look
The SEAL is available in Aurora White, Atlantis Grey, Cosmos Black, and a brand-new colour, Shark Grey.
Pricing and Launch Package
The Premium Variant is priced from RM171,800, while the Performance Variant starts at RM191,800.
To celebrate the launch, BYD is introducing an exclusive SEAL THE DEAL Launch Package. The first 300 customers will receive a package worth up to RM10,888, including a free wall charger, service package, and special launch rebate.
BYD also took the opportunity to officially announce plans to begin CKD operations at its own plant in Tanjung Malim, Perak.
