Did you know that the entry price for the Lotus Emeya in Malaysia now starts at just RM459,000, for the new base 600 variant.
This represents a hefty RM96,000 reduction from the RM555,000 buyers were looking to spend if they wanted this all-electric hyper-GT last year.
Meanwhile, the Lotus SUV which is the Eletre 600 variant now retails from just RM499,000. This is a base version of the older Eletre S which was priced from RM598,800 which is about RM99k cheaper.
So, the price of the Lotus Eletre in Malaysia went down because Lotus introduced a new, lower-priced base model, the Eletre 600, in August 2025, which brought the overall starting price of the Eletre range to a new, lower point of RM499,000.
This is NOT a price drop for the previously available Eletre S and R models, but rather the introduction of a more affordable variant that wasn’t available before.

New Base Variant: The discontinuation of the initial base model and the introduction of the new Eletre 600 for the 2026 model year.
New Naming Scheme: The new variants are named with their power output, like Eletre 600 and Eletre 900, replacing the previous trim names.
Lower Entry Point: The new Eletre 600 offers a more accessible entry price for customers interested in the Eletre.
Increased Options: The expanded range now offers more choices and clearer trim levels, making it easier for customers to find a model that suits their needs.
It’s important to note: The price of higher-end variants like the Eletre S and R did not decrease.
At its launch in April 2023 the Eletre was available in three variants:
Base Eletre: from RM578,000
Eletre S: from RM648,000
Eletre R: from RM798,000
Their pricing remained similar, with the new Eletre R, for example, starting at RM839,000.
The previous pricing increases from late 2023 were due to currency fluctuations and the weak ringgit, but this 2025 price decrease is a result of a strategic new model introduction.
