The 11th Mazda Charity Golf Tournament by Bermaz Motor raises much needed funds.
The 11th Mazda Charity Golf Tournament, organised by Bermaz Motor, brought together business leaders, Mazda owners, and golf enthusiasts at the Glenmarie Golf & Country Club for a day of sport, philanthropy, and community spirit.

Held under the Royal Patronage of His Royal Highness the Sultan of Pahang, Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah, the event successfully raised RM1.4 million in donations for the Mazda Medicare Fund (MMF). The fund, established in 2015, provides medical and humanitarian aid to underprivileged communities and supports welfare organisations across Malaysia.

The tournament drew 200 participants this year, including several national leaders such as Deputy Prime Minister Dato’ Sri Haji Fadillah Yusof, Selangor Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari, and MITI Minister Tengku Datuk Seri Utama Zafrul Tengku Abdul Aziz. Their attendance, along with the Sultan’s, reflected the strong collaboration between the royal family, government, and corporate sector in driving social good.

A Tradition of Giving Back
Speaking at the event, Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Ben Yeoh, Executive Chairman of Bermaz Auto Berhad, emphasised that the tournament is more than just a sporting event — it represents Mazda’s enduring commitment to community welfare.

“The Mazda Charity Golf Tournament has grown into one of our most meaningful initiatives under the Mazda Medicare Fund. It shows that compassion, unity, and commitment can drive real change for those most in need,” said Tan Sri Ben Yeoh.

Funds raised from this year’s tournament will benefit several charitable organisations, including Mount Miriam Cancer Hospital (Penang), Persatuan Kebajikan Ahsana (Kuala Lumpur), and House of Love (Selangor) — all of which provide essential healthcare and welfare support to vulnerable Malaysians.

Mazda Medicare Fund: Driving Change Beyond the Road
The Mazda Medicare Fund (MMF), managed by volunteers from Bermaz Motor, ensures 100% of donations go directly to beneficiaries without administrative deductions. In addition to providing subsidised dialysis treatments through 16 B. Braun Avitum centres, MMF supports elderly homes, orphanages, and care facilities nationwide.

The annual golf tournament has become a key pillar in sustaining MMF’s outreach, proving that the spirit of “Zoom-Zoom” extends far beyond the road — into the heart of the community.
