Toyo Tires has officially introduced the Proxes Comfort in Malaysia, marking the first of three new models to be launched under the Proxes series over the next three years. This next-generation luxury comfort tyre is specifically engineered to meet the evolving demands of modern mobility, where Malaysian drivers are increasingly prioritizing safety, efficiency, and highway refinement.
Engineered for Malaysian Conditions
The Proxes Comfort was developed in Japan with a focus on three core qualities essential for the local market: exceptional wet grip to manage frequent heavy rain, stable handling for high-speed highway travel, and a quiet, comfortable ride for long-distance journeys.
Central to its performance is Toyo Tires’ Dynamic Taper Design. Conventional groove designs can often lead to uneven contact pressure, but this innovative tapering allows the tyre blocks to maintain more consistent contact with the road. This result is a significantly more stable braking experience; compared to its predecessor, the Proxes CF 2, the Proxes Comfort delivers a 13% shorter wet braking distance and an 8% shorter dry braking distance.
Future-Ready: EV-Optimised Performance
As the Malaysian automotive landscape shifts toward Battery Electric Vehicles (BEVs) and Hybrids (HEVs/PHEVs), tyre requirements have become more demanding due to increased vehicle weight and the need for lower rolling noise.
The Proxes Comfort is fully prepared for this transition. Of the 14 initial sizes available, 11 are EV-ready. These variants feature Extra Load (XL) ratings to support the heavier mass of electrified platforms while achieving a 5/5 rating for ride comfort and noise reduction, including specialized EV-optimised noise performance.

Designed primarily for B, C, and E-segment passenger cars and SUVs, the Proxes Comfort lineup currently ranges from 16 to 19-inch rim diameters.
