BYD Unveils the Seal 07 EV: High-Efficiency Performance Meets Next-Gen Intelligence

BYD has officially released images of the highly anticipated Seal 07 EV.

The BYD Seal 07 EV is gearing up for its official market launch in March, bringing a host of technical and aesthetic refinements to the popular Seal lineup. As the latest model to sit on the e-platform 3.0 Evo, the Seal 07 EV emphasizes a sleek aerodynamic profile combined with high-density battery technology.

Aerodynamic Design and Intelligent Hardware

Visually, the Seal 07 EV shares its design language with the 2026 Seal 07 DM-i, characterized by a closed front fascia and sharp, narrow headlights. The silhouette is defined by hidden door handles and a roofline that slopes elegantly from the B-pillar to minimize drag.

A notable addition to the exterior is the roof-mounted lidar. This hardware suggests that the EV variant will be a pioneer for BYD’s advanced driving assistance functions. While the hybrid DM-i uses the DiPilot 300 system, industry experts expect the EV to debut the “God’s Eye” 5.0 version, potentially during BYD’s technical event on March 5th.

Dimensions and Performance Metrics

The Seal 07 EV is a substantial sedan, measuring 4,995 mm in length and featuring a 2,900 mm wheelbase. At 1,910 mm wide, it is 10 mm broader than its DM-i counterpart, providing a more planted stance.

Under the skin, power is delivered by a rear-mounted electric motor producing 240 kW (322 hp). This is paired with a 69.07 kWh Blade battery pack weighing approximately 490 kg. Despite its nearly two-tonne curb weight, the vehicle achieves a remarkable CLTC range of 705 km, aided by an exceptionally low power consumption rate of just 10.8 kWh per 100 km.

A Refined, Tech-Centric Cabin

The interior layout maintains the premium, minimalist aesthetic seen in recent BYD models. The driver is greeted by a two-spoke multi-function steering wheel and an embedded LCD instrument panel. The centerpiece of the cabin is a 15.6-inch floating central control screen that manages the vehicle’s infotainment and ecosystem.

For everyday convenience, the center console is well-equipped with a wireless charging panel, a crystal-like rotary knob, and a dedicated row of physical buttons for essential vehicle controls.

The BYD Seal 07 EV represents a significant step forward in combining long-distance range with high-tier autonomous hardware, making it a formidable competitor in the global electric sedan market.
